Course Description:
This training is specific to the Commercial Sexual Exploitation Identification Tool: 2.0
Commercial sexual exploitation is a major child protection issue for communities around the globe. Hidden from view and often unnoticed, vulnerable children are recruited, groomed and then abused, leaving them traumatized and without support. Issues specific to sexual exploitation of youth, including difficulty identifying youth at risk of trafficking, makes the provision of appropriate treatment and services a challenge for systems that serve youth.
This training will address the importance of early identification and present the Commercial Sexual Exploitation Identification Tool (CSE-IT): 2.0 as a method of screening to help recognize commercially sexually exploited youth. This training will address the importance of early identification, provide foundational concepts of CSE of children, and present the CSE-IT as a method of screening and identifying vulnerable youth. Providers will leave ready to implement the CSE-IT with their clients.
